What is Harvest House

Physically, Harvest House consists of two separate facilities:  Harvest House is the former South Presbyterian Church and Sunday school building.  It is a 22,000 square foot red brick building with high white columns holding up a  large  over-hanging roof.  The building is used for spiritual retreats and community meetings.  A 2,100 square foot addition at the rear of the parking lot is available for team meetings and must be reserved in advance by calling our office.

The main building includes: a gymnasium and stage; a fully equipped kitchen and a dining room seating 90: a conference room with an 18 seat table; a game room with air hockey, skee ball, pool table, pin ball, foos ball, two video games and a jukebox - all free; a main sanctuary seating 280 people, with a 17 rank, 1,544 pipes Austin organ and a grand piano; an intimate second floor chapel with free spiritual library, five carpeted living room style meeting rooms in various sizes holding from 15-90 people.  The building's multiple bathrooms have 13 toilets, 18 sinks and ten private showers.  Harvest House has three large screen TVs, DVD/VCR players, and portable tape/CD players. A portable sound system and lectern are available by request.

The building has an elevator providing access to all rooms except the gymnasium.  The building is equipped with panic hardware on all exterior doors, exit lights and central fire and burglary protection.  Harvest House is open to non-profit and community groups needing space and for spiritual retreats.

Harvest House Ministry Center is located at 175 Jefferson, a little over 2 miles from Harvest House. The building was formerly a Mack Truck service and parts depot. Now, the renovated and newly-expanded facility houses three separate ministries to help people in three different and important ways.  Click on each ministry name to read more:
